Windows won't even start now!

I think the cause might be that one of my Virus Removal Programs removed a critical file. Anyway, now Windows only BOOTs so far before simply restarting itself. I'm currently trying the repair option to no avail...

It's been out for 3 months now! :bawling:

    How far does it get? There might not be a way to fix it depending, but there is a way to get your data off of it even if you can't boot it up, so a reformat wouldn't be so horrible.

    Thanks but I'm now at the stage where I have reinstalled Windows. Only now none of ny drivers work so I am unable to access internet or any CD/DVD drives.

    I am actually having a similar problem after reformatting with accessing the internet haha. Tech support time!

    How many virus programs are you currently running?

    Well me, on the computer that I reformatted none really except the basic factory default trial of Norton, but since it hasn't had any internet access there shouldn't be a problem with that. Anyways I installed the interent fine before.

    Actually the question was for Alex. He said virus removal "programs". More than one doesn't give you added protection because they will more or less cancel each other out.

    A suggestion for you though. Get a different Anti-Virus prog as Norton's has been proven to be one of the worst out there.
