Typical problem...but it's driving me crazzzzie
I know you guys see this every day but I was in a Yputube.com type of site and someone has posted a virus in place of a funny video and I have been sick for over two weeks and my productivity and stress level has reached an all time high; hence, my attempt to seek assistance as nothing i have done has helped. The Problem: My computer launches IE or Mozilla randomly and the ads start nonstop regardless of what I do. If I leave my PC running at night in the AM I have some 30 windows with randon ads that have opened automatically overnight. If I launch IE myself the same thing happens and now there are even porn sites coming up all the time and I have an 8yo that uses the same PC. BTW – I do not visit porn sites and I NEVER received pop-ups or any other type of un-requested information prior to being contaminated a couple of weeks ago. I use AVG and Comcast security tools for viruses along with Stopzilla, AdwareSE, Spybot for adware.
Attempts to fix: I have tried a lot having to do with Spyware/Adware/Antivirus/reg cleaner and they all uncover problems and they fix them only to restart again in a few minutes. I tried to read up on things that work but to date I still don’t even know what I have. I took it to a techie friend and he said he tried to get rid of it but could not and the only solution is to reformat the hardrive and install programs again.
Questions:
1) Does anyone know what I have contracted? A virus? Irremovable/regenerating Adware?
2) How can I fix it? Is reformatting the HD the only solution? Please point me in the right direction as I am pulling my hair.

I need to see a two logs in order to see whats going on.
First, click here to download HJTsetup.exe
Save HJTsetup.exe to your desktop.
- Double click on the HJTsetup.exe icon on your desktop.
- By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Hijack This.
- Continue to click Next in the setup dialogue boxes until you get to the "Select Addition Tasks" dialogue.
- Put a check by Create a desktop icon then click Next again.
- Continue to follow the rest of the prompts from there.
- At the final dialogue box click Finish and it will launch Hijack This.
- Click on the "Do a system scan and save a log file" button. It will scan and then ask you to save the log.
- Copy and paste the log here
DO NOT have HijackThis fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.Secondly, I would like to see another log from HijackThis.
Please post the above logs here
