The future of USB flash drives?

How much storage capacity do you think USB flash drives will be capable of in the next few years? I got a 1 GB flash drive for $30 on eBay a few months ago, and at that time there was very little of anything larger than 2 GB. And it was expensive!

Now I'm starting to see more 4 GB flash drives. I wonder how much storage they will be able to provide in the next few years. Maybe 10 GB to 20 GB or more?

I have no idea, I am thinking of buying a 4gb drive. I think that flash based memory will replace magnetic storage in the future, it is faster, more reliable, and shock resistant (in case you feel the urge to drop your pc down the stairs.)

Newer hard drives are using flash memory as caches. Capacities are bound to increase about as fast as typical hard drive storage has in the past.
