Hi everybody i have a benq joybook 2000,

1.5 ghz centrino
256mb ram
windows XP

i connect to the internet usinga wireless adsl speedstream 6520 router.
problem i am facing is that my laptop while connected to the internet either with NIC or WLAN or even USB just freezes. it can happen within an hour of connection and sometimes it happens after 12 hours. when the laptop is on and is not connected to the internet there isnt any problem. on a couple of occasions i have also had a blue screen and once after the computer has recovered microsoft has responded saying it could be a hardware failure. i have tried to reinstall the drivers for my nic and wlan card . also i have tried to disable both alternatively but the laptop still freezes.

need help pls.

hmm..update the drivers of ur USB..it might also be a RAM issue...other than that i would suggest reformatting as a last ditch effort...or perhaps updating windows might solve some problems

by the way when it freezes the cpu fan starts whirring very loudly for sometime until the laptop restarts or is restarted, usb drivers are also updated. anything else apart from the RAM

overheating. Open up your laptop and clean the heatsink would be my suggestion.
