Problem with network card on linux

I have a Problem with my eth0 card, I got a message on terminal that said
eth0: no 21041 10baseT link deat, media switched to 10base2 and I dont know if for that reason I am not able to active the nic someone can help me??

I new on linux

    sounds like you have a very old card - which could mean it's either unsupported or dead. We need a lot more information than you've given us - card model, operating system version, etc.

    209.218.44.6 and 209.218.76.2 are my DNS servers. They're pretty quick.

    help me more please I am new on linux so tell me where I should have to put the info that you told me??

    If you can get to a terminal window (xterm for GNOME users, kterm for KDE users), type cat /proc/pci and dmesg | grep eth0 and post the results here.
