You can call me yellow and I won't even be offended today...for the first time my stats went yellow, 1100+ for the week (and passed 5000). The wierd thing is, I haven't added anything to the farm - it's still 4 machines, 1400 TBird, 1700+ (A core), P4 2.8B and 2100+. The only change is that the 2100 got an OS reformat and a slightly higher overclock (11 X 207). Oya, and I cleaned the spyware out of the 1400 as noted in another thread, though I doubt this had impact on F@H.

Anyways, it will be interesting to see if this level of performance continues. Somehow I doubt it, typical past production is 750-850/week.

It's because there was a spike in the stats resulting from the stats system being down at Stanford for a day or so. All our stats will be slightly deflated for the next few days. :)

Part of the mystery solved. Someone is folding under my name - I'm showing 5 active processors for the week when in fact there are 4. And no, my P4 is NOT HyperThreading, it's really 4 processors. Other than that, it does look like it was due to the stats glitch, TB gets a cookie (=

...format a comp and reinstall? (Or just uninstall/reinstall F@H?) That would explain the 5th computer (new install = new comp ID).

    Whatever the reason, congratulations!

The CPU count is almost never right.

    Stats back down to normal.

DOH! Good catch, prof, never even thought of that. Of course you are correct, complete format and reinstall was done.
