HackerDefender.gen; AIM trojan horse

On, Friday, I recieved an IM asking " you wouldnt mind if I put this picture of us on my myspace default page? :-) ".Being in a very slow state-of-mind, it gave a line to download "picture09.pif." As soon as I did, McAfee virus scan detected a virus and said that it had cleaned it. However, the program took over and resent the same message I recieved to every one of my contacts.

This is the message that it gave me
"The file C:/WINDOWS\system32\sklrr7ytzetagm.exe was infected by the HackerDefender.gen trojan and has been deleted to complete the Clean process. This message has appeared several times since, each time with a diffrent file name, but all still in C:/WINDOWS\system32\.

I have run a virus scan several times, and also tried it in safe-mode.But each time I restart the computer Iget that same message by McAfee. I also tried running the most recent version of AIMFix, but it didnt detect anything either

I have heard reports from some of my friends that they too have it and can not get rid of it. For now I have deleted my IM so it wont infect others PCs, but I have no clue what damage it can/will do to my computer. It seems to be evading every virus scan that people run, one person had stated that "that virus is especially nasty in the fact that it tries to kill off any firewall and/or anti-virus programs you have running".....Thanks for the help, my log-file is as followed
*Note- This is after I deleted the AIM, I dont think it will make a difference though.
** Also my computer started detecting another trojan horse called NewMalware.j, infecting the winupdate.exe file shorlty after the first trojan infection. McAfee detected it, but said it could not clean it.

    hi base, first lets take care of the aimvirus...please download this tool called aimfix-->http://www.jayloden.com/AIMFix.exe run it and after it's done it'll create a text report on your desktop named aimfixreport.txt or something of that sort,please post the contents of the aimfix log and new HJT log (reboot your machine after running the aimfix tool)

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/files/lonny/Fixwareout.exe

    Save it to your desktop and run it. Click Next, then Install, make sure "Run fixit" is checked and click Finish.
    The fix will begin; follow the prompts.
    You will be asked to reboot your computer; please do so.
    Your system may take longer than usual to load; this is normal.
    Once the desktop loads post the text that will open (report.txt) and a new Hijackthis log in the forum please.

    nothing there, lets try this-->Please download, install, and update Ewido anti-spyware
    1. Load Ewido and then click the Update tab at the top. Under Manual Update click Start update.
    2. After the update finishes (the status bar at the bottom will display "Update successful")
    3. Close ewido. Do not run it yet.

    Please reboot your computer into Safe Mode. To boot into Safe Mode, please restart your computer. Tap F8 before Windows loads. Select Safe Mode on the screen that appears.
    • In Safe Mode, load Ewido and click on the Scanner tab at the top and then click on Complete System Scan. This scan can take quite a while to run, so be prepared.
    • Ewido will list any infections found on the left hand side. When the scan has finished, it will automatically set the recommended action. Click the Apply all actions button. Ewido will display "All actions have been applied" on the right hand side.
    • Click on "Save Report", then "Save Report As". This will create a text file. Make sure you know where to find this file again (like on the Desktop).
    • Restart back into Normal Mode.

    Please perform another scan with Hijack This, and then post back with a copy of the Ewido log and the new HijackThis log.

    baseman, please move hijackthis! to its own permanent folder such as on the desktop because right now its running from a temp folder and if you fix any items from the temp folder it will NOT create any backups which isn't a good thing let me know when you do this and repost a new hjt log as well

    Run Hijackthis.
    Click on Open the Misc Tools section.
    Next click on Open uninstall manager.
    Press the Save list button. It will open a Notepad file.
    Copy & Paste the entire contents of that file in your next post.

    I would HIGHLY recommend you uninstall the following programs via add/remove-->
    1. MyWay Search Assistant
    2. ToolBar888
    3. Viewpoint Media Player
    4. WildTangent Web Driver
    and reboot post new hjt log and lemme know if you uninstalled those listed programs which again i highly recommend you do

    good job, lets do this now-->Please do an online scan with Kaspersky WebScanner

    Click on Kaspersky Online Scanner

    You will be promted to install an ActiveX component from Kaspersky, Click Yes.
    • The program will launch and then begin downloading the latest definition files:
    • Once the files have been downloaded click on NEXT
    • Now click on Scan Settings
    • In the scan settings make that the following are selected:
      • Scan using the following Anti-Virus database:
        Extended (if available otherwise Standard)
      • Scan Options:
        Scan Archives
        Scan Mail Bases

        [*]Click OK
        [*]Now under select a target to scan:
          Select
        My Computer

        [*]This will program will start and scan your system.
        [*]The scan will take a while so be patient and let it run.
        [*]Once the scan is complete it will display if your system has been infected.
        • Now click on the Save as Text button:
        [*]Save the file to your desktop.
        [*]Copy and paste that information in your next post.
