Nvidia not making much of a showing at the Gaming Convention in Leipzig decided to setup a killer rig to shatter the 3DMark06 score live with a Conroe platform @ 1920x1200 resolution. The system sported a MSI board with 2 7950GX2 cards running at minus 80 Celsius, and a beautiful Conroe CPU running at 4.95GHz. The news posters didn't stay around long for the results but as soon as we get the reports of the scores I will post them here.
Nvidia was after the 3Dmark06 record at 1920x1200 resolution but we didn’t stay long enough to see the final score. There is not much else the company wanted to show off. as the 7950GX2 will stay the fastest card for weeks to come. This one still beats ATI's new X1950XTX card but it is at least $100 more expensive.
