This seems strangely relevant for the Short-Media community, especially when you are familiar with the conflict between those who wanted tabletop gaming at the recent SM LAN 2006 and those who... well... didn't.. :wtf:

At the German Games Convention in Leipzig, Microsoft announced the addition of three classic tabletop strategy boardgames to the Xbox Live Arcade library.

"In addition, with more and more gamers enjoying the growing number of games on Xbox Live Arcade every day, Microsoft is giving gamers a splash of global influence with the forthcoming release of three board-game-inspired titles from Europe. “Settlers of Catan™,” “Carcassonne™” and “Alhambra™” are set to bring the classic board games to the high-definition screen on Xbox Live Arcade via Xbox Live Marketplace.

Heh, it's a little irontic that Settlers of Catan would be the first game I want an Xbox 360 for :)
