My desktop just started on a new WU today and apparently it's huge:

This is big for me I guess. So it's normal to have a WU that has a projected completion date of 9/7/2006?

Oh, I broke 1000 points! Sweet!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That looks like one of the 396-Point WU's. Depending on the speed of your machine it could take a week.

What is the speed of your CPU and how much RAM do you have?

Keep an eye on the Notable Milestones Forum - <s>you'll have a thread there soon</s> you have a thread there NOW! :D

I still fold on some old 1.4GHz TBird machines. Some of these work units take 10 days to finish.

    The comp's a 1.2Ghz T-bird w/512MB

It says it'll finish in a week. I was just wondering if I got a bunk WU or something. I've got 2 other computers chewing on some F@H goodness, so I'll still have new WU's before this one finishes : )

With that CPU I would say a week for that WU is about right, especially if you are using the computer for other things. :)
