SLI problem, please help!

I just started building my new computer and after getting it all together I get a POST, but no video when I have both video cards in in SLI mode. If I remove the card in the first PCIEx16 slot and disconnect the SLI bridge, I get video. But if I leave the card in the first slot and remove the card in the second slot, I don't even get a POST. It seems like the first card is bad, but I figured it wouldn't POST if one card was bad in a SLI configuration.

Someone please help me out here.

I have two EVGA GF 7900GT KO 512MB cards (model number 512-P2-n568-AR)

Boot the PC with one card and flash the BIOS to the newest version.

PLug the DVI connections to the bottom left DVI plug.. all should be well.

Turns out I had a DOA card. When the bad one was in by itself I couldn't POST. I took the waterblock off and put the OEM heatsink back on and there was no voltage going to the fan. So I RMAed it through EVGA.

Thanks for the help, though. I still may need it when I get the new card in.
