Hello,

My Netgear RP614v3 been actting up on me every since I set up my port fowarding and turn on UPnP. The problem is that the router wouldn't let my program sign on to the net (e.g. AIM,mIRC). I would have to hit the reset buttom every time that happens so it will let me sign on again.

It only acts up when you enable UPnP and port forwarding? Do the settings stick after you hit reset? Or do you try to re-apply them again after resetting?

If UPnP isn't needed, it would probably be best turned off. It's always best to manually forward ports instead of relying on software to do it. An old Linksys I had garbled UPnP settings up and caused the router to glitch. I turned UPnP off and set it all manually: no more problems.

You can try a firmware update if yours is a little dated.

I have UPnP on and I also set my ports manually, do you think that is a problem? After I reset the router, the setting remain same.

I just turn off the UPnP to see if the problem would go away.

The router came with the newest firmware.
