DAMMIT I NEED TO BE RICH

There are so many games I want to buy! I've been dying to get a DS Lite, there are like 30 games I want for the GBA and DS, there are a bunch of PS2 games I still want to play, I am definitely going to be wanting a Wii and about a million Wii points to buy every game from my childhood that I ever lusted after...

Dammit I just need to win the freaking lottery :shakehead

    I've got a backlog of like 10 PS2 and PS1 games I still need to play. The best part about winning the lottery would be quitting my job so I could have the time to play the games.

    same here :-/ backlog extends to PS1 games... I never played Final Fantasy Tactics, Vagrant Story, Final Fantasy X-2 (never finished X for that matter)... bah... never mind :grumble:

    Emulators for the PSX on back (including the GBA) works just as well if not better than the original systems. As for games, I know you can find used PSX games legally at Gamestop for no more than $5 per game, sometimes less.

    I was going to buy an XBOX360 just for Dead Rising last week but the place I went in had sold out of the game. Will try not to give in this weekend but it will be tough...

    Rapture, if you get dead rising, make sure you have a hi-def display. The game is near to unplayable at standard def. I have the game, and it really is fun, but when you start having to read case files and get mission briefings and whatnot, you simply cannot read them on SD, and so the game has been relenquished to the shelf until I get a hi-def display (one day.... sigh..).. It's a big enough problem that Capcom responded to complaints by saying "nope, sorry, we're not fixing it..." :-/

    I do but I don't plan on playing the game on the main TV, is it playable at all on a normal screen?

    I just want to chop people up after work for half an hour, will I really be missing out?

    Eventually, you'll want to able to read some of the stuff, trust me.

    It's not TOTALLY unplayable, but you're missing a lot by skipping any text. You get optional sidequests, mission briefings, etc. Stuff that adds a lot to make it more than a $60 game of you beating up zombies.

    I went and bought it anyway. Can read the text barely on one TV but on the other its fine.

    Can't believe they let this one slip through the net, the excuses coming from Capcom are terrible, even with HD the text is tiny compared to the rest of the game, the whole interface could have done with a little more work.

    That said the game is good. I have a nasty habit of forgetting to save which has hampered progress so far but makes a big change from hitting F6 every 30 seconds.

    Might get a VGA cable and see how it looks on a monitor...

    Capcom is pretty good at that. I suffered through the pain and horror of the online mode for Steel Battalion and despite the entire community being in contact with Capcom, they never really made any effort to improve the lag or connection issues. Still one of the coolest games ever though.
