Can awdflash be spyware/virus/Trojan or used to hijack? [Solved]

Hi all,
Forgive my ignorance in computer related issues. While I am fairly computer literate, this is beyond my limited knowledge and forces me to seek out the assistance of The Great Computer Guru's.
The problem is: The other day I was doing nothing new or special with my computer and received a dos window for just a split second and then a system alert that said "You must restart your computer for the changes to take effect. Do you want to restart now? "Yes" button and "No" button. (The dos window disappeared after the system alert showed up)
Like I said I'm not completely a dunce and I knew that I had not done anything so my ears perked up and I thought to myself, "Oh no you don't!"
So of course I clicked the "No" button. Well.... the computer restarted anyway. Gaak!!! So once it came back up, I checked my settings as best as I knew how (I have just a titch of OCD so I notice when things are not as I left them, sometimes a curse, sometimes a blessing) and found nothing had been changed.
Last night I powered down my computer due to a fairly nasty thunderstorm and left it off all night. So I get up this morning and boot up.
And I notice on the boot up screen where it says "Hit DEL to enter SETUP, hit ESC to skip memory test" that a split second before it changes screens that "hit ESC to skip memory test" is replaced with "hit ALT F2 to enter AWDFLASH".
This was not here before. I did not install it. I did some google searching and that was how I found you. Can this program be used to hijack my system? Or as spywar/virus/trojan? Or did one of my components install it automatically? :confused2 Any help you can offer is greatly appreciated!

Please download Hijack This from here.
Unzip the program to your desktop. Run the program and ask it to do a system scan and save a logfile. The logfile will open in Notepad. Copy and paste the entire contents of the log into your next reply.

Close all other browsers/windows and click Fix Checked. Close Hijack This.
Please use the Windows search feature to search for the following file:
soundman.exe
Be sure to check the box to include hidden files in your search. When this file is found could you please post the full path to the file. An example is below:
C:\program files\soundman\soundman.exe
Please note that the above is only an example of what I'm wanting you to post and that the file may not be located there.
Post back with that file location and a fresh Hijack This log after you reboot your PC.
soundman is part of my soundcard stuff, Advance AC'97, it is a special effects manager. I don't use it and it's just junk but I'm pretty sure it's harmless. Anyway the path is:

Your log looks clean. Are you having any problems? You might consider updating your version of Java. You can do that by:
Start--->Control Panel
In the control panel double click the Java icon. A window will open. Click on the update tab and then click update now. If you have problems with this let me know.
I figured since I leave my computer on all the time it would be a something good to do with the wasted energy. Thanks for the welcome.
