The p965 is faster, cheaper, generally has more overclocking options, overclocks better, and is receiving more support from manufacturers in the way of tweaks, BIOS updates and hardware compatability hacks. To wit, the record C2D overclocks have been done on the P5B Deluxe, a p965 board, not the P5W, a 975 board.
