All I need is a Yes or No, unless there is some trick to make what I want work.

Have 1 250GB Maxtor 16mb cache HDD
Have 1 250GB WD 16mb cache HDD

For RAID 0...are they "RAID-able"?

Does it hurt to give 2 cents?

Depends if you have 2 cents in change because if you don't then you have to give more but then you need to find someone who can break a larger amount but then they may have wanted to give their 2 cents but can't because they gave their change to someone else who needed a dollar broken or something :tongue2:

OK, that said, how many people here have had a raid0 array blow up on them and lost all data?
It only happend to me twice before I quit.

I'd never do it again without a true hardware raid controller. It's just not worth the risk for the reward.
