Got a pair of 1100/100 Pentium 3 Coppermine CPU's and a couple of slockets the other day, put them in a pair of slot1 boards a voila! 2.2GHz more folding for drasnor of team 92. They're both running diskless with knoppix CD's, which is very easy to set up and use. I highly recommend it for those of you with loads of trashy CD-ROMs lying around.
I'm sure some of you can appreciate the subtle irony of using AMD Athlon MP stock HSF's on Intel processors on slockets. For the spec-minded among us:
Knoppix1:
Dell Dimension XPS R350
Intel Pentium 3 Coppermine SL5QW 1100MHz core/100MHz FSB 256KB cache
128MB x 3 (384MB) Crucial Registered Buffered ECC PC100
nVidia GeForce 256 32MB SDRAM video
2x Diamond Monster 3d II (3dfx Voodoo2) in SLI configuration
Turtle Beach Montego A3D sound
Linksys LNE100TX 10/100 Fast Ethernet adapter
3com/USRobotics 33.6k hardware-controlled ISA modem
Knoppix2:
Asus P2B-B
Intel Pentium 3 Coppermine SL5QW 1100MHz core/100MHz FSB 256KB cache
256MB x 2 (512MB) generic PC100
nVidia Riva 128ZX 4MB SDRAM video (until my GeForce 3 Ti500 comes back)
Adaptec 2940U2W Ultra2/LVD + Fast/Wide/Narrow SCSI-2 host bus adapter
Turtle Beach Santa Cruz sound
3com 3C905C-TX-M managed 10/100 Fast Ethernet adapter
3com/USRobotics 56k v.90 hardware-controlled ISA modem
On a funny side note, because Dell sucks and hates us all, it detects the 1.1GHz P3 as a 500MHz Pentium Pro, but Knoppix knows better (1095MHz Pentium 3 Coppermine).
I don't have a whole lot of time lately to play with these (as you can see, they're a bit overconfigured for dedicated folding clients), but eventually one is going to be my dedicated Linux development platform and the other is going to be fitted into an IBM PC-AT case and overclocked. Guess which.

Haha, I didn't even catch that.

:EDIT: Saw the team 93 banner in Tbonz sig after his first post, before anyone else replied, though thanks for also catching that. Also thanks to TheBaron for graciously allowing me to pillage his bandwidth for downloading knoppix (128kbit DSL at home is too slow).
