Error 1603 while installing Rome Total War

I am trying to instal Rome and tis error comes up that "Fatal Error during installation" i tried cleaning the disk. I tried the rome cleaner but it found nothing since this is my first time playing theis.PLZ help me!!

I had a similar problem way back when, and Thrax directed me here:

Download that and see if it solves your problems. It worked for me.

I dl it but then another error comes up "error 1311 verify that the file exists and that u can access it".

Copy the contents of the CD to your hard-drive and try it that way.
