Hello I am a great graphics designer and want to set up a business type website with a checkout cart and uses credit cards, scroll bars to pick a part in inventory.

osCommerce ( http://www.oscommerce.com/ ) and AgoraCart ( http://www.agoracart.com/ ) are both solid open course shopping cart packages, they are worth checking out.

My pleasure! And it should read open *s*ource, not course. Oops.

I should add - in regards to receiving payment by credit card osCommerce, CubeCart and AgoraCart all have modules so you can receive payment through PayPal.

(There are other payment gateway modules available i.e. Authorize.NET , 2Checkout, etc. Some of these are included with the shopping carts, others you need to install ).

For people to purchase through your store securely you will need to host your site on a server that includes SSL, and purchase a digital certificate that verifies that the SSL is run by your business.

    Regards,
    Scott
