Microsoft Update Icon

edited October 2006 in Science & Tech
Hey all,

Not really a big problem here more of an annoyance. I accidentally deleted the Microsoft Update icon from the start menu and I don't know how or if it's possible to get it back.

Create a new shortcut in your start menu, name it "Windows Update," then right click on it when you've completed the shortcut. Hit properties, and give it these settings:

    TARGET: %SystemRoot%\system32\wupdmgr.exe
    START IN: %HOMEDRIVE%%HOMEPATH%
    SHORTCUT KEY: None
    RUN: Normal Window
Comment: Offers the latest critical and security updates, device drivers, and other features that are available for your Windows computer.
