the pc is in MUCH better health though from when we first started as we've pulled ALOT of malware off it..but lets try this-->

    Download Avenger from here:
    http://swandog46.geekstogo.com/

Open the program. Check the 'Input script manually' option.
    Click the Magnifying Glass icon.
In the box that opens, paste this:

    Files to delete:
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\iesniff.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\mucaaaaa.exe C:\WINDOWS\fhwkqad.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\IEFilter.dll

    and click 'Done'

Click the Traffic Light icon to start the program, and OK the prompts to reboot your PC.

Post the Avenger output.txt, which you can find at C:\Avenger\.txt

ok, lets try this...Please download/run this tool-->http://www.xblock.com/download/xclean_micro.exe it will scan for spyware alphanumerically and if/when it detects something a prompt box will come up asking you to remove or ignore obviously choose remove then once the scan is done it will NOT produce a log so don't worry about posting one just try and note some of the things it removes and list them in your next reply (if possible) and reboot when it asks you to and also return with a fresh HJT log

    Hi hockey05!

Uninstall McAfee from Add/Remove programs since I don't think you use it and you have Kaspersky AV anyway. Also, uninstall the following:

ewido security suite << There is a newer version, which we will get.
    Search Assistant - My Search
    Living Marine Aquarium Screen Saver
    SereneScreen Marine Aquarium 2

    ===Reboot your computer!===

Please print out or copy these instructions/tutorial to Notepad as the internet will not be (while in Safe Mode) available to you at certain points of the removal process. Make sure to work through all the Steps in the exact order in which they are listed below. If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before moving on with the fixes.

Download ATF (Atribune Temp File) Cleaner© by Atribune to your desktop.
This program is for XP and Windows 2000 only!

Double-click ATF Cleaner.exe to open it.

    Under Main select the following:
      Windows Temp
      Current User Temp
      All Users Temp
      Temporary Internet Files
      Prefetch
      Java Cache

      *The other boxes are optional*
Then click the Empty Selected button.

      If you use Firefox:
Click Firefox at the top and choose: Select All
      Click the Empty Selected button.
NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click NO at the prompt.
