No way jose. Cluster yes. Stripe No. Stripe means a total meltdown so back your stuff up.
And don't let us with scsi rigs confuse you regarding optimum IDE stripe cluster. Totaly differant critters in every way you can imagine.
This is the one reason its still best to install on a another drive and play and tweak the raid till you figure what the optimum stripe/cluster is for you and THEN pull the other drive and install to a raid array thats all striped anf formated and ready to rock&roll.
Your optimum with those raptors will be around 16 but probably more like 32 for stripe and 16 to 32 for cluster to match your stripe I bet .
