Difficulty opening youtube.com site

edited October 2006 in Science & Tech
I am having problems getting to
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S1qyA...elated&search=

Here is the message I get:
Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Macromedia's Flash Player. Click here to get the latest flash player.

I have downloaded the latest Flash Player as well as the latest version of Java.
Why can't I get to this webpage? Can you help with this?

Adobe bought Macromedia, but if you go to their site, http://www.adobe.com/ and you can see the animation thing right at the top, then your flashplayer works fine.

Otherwise, what browser are you in? In IE 6 or 7 You Tube works fine if all the security settings in Tools> Internet Options are set to default.

EDIT: By the way, when I click your link I get to You Tube, but it says "The url contained a malformed video id."

Java is different than JavaScript JavaScript is controlled by your web browser. Make sure it's turned on in the browser's settings.

I didn't see any animation - but when I tried to download the flash player again - it said it was already installed.
I am using IE 6.0 and security is set to default.
Javascript is turned on. Anything else?

I have heard of problems with IE 7 - are they resolved? Is this the beta version or final>?

That's the final version of the browser.

THIS JUST IN - I CAN ACCESS YOUTUBE.COM

For the 10th time or so - I uninstalled Flash Player & reinstalled it. Now it works. Go figure must have been a hiccup in it someplace.
    Anyway thanks:)
