Partitioned drive and IE7

Sorry am a noobie so maybe a dumb question following:-
I have two partitions on my drive win98 fat32 & winxp ntfs. Tried googling to see if I could have both IE6 & IE7 on same drive (XP), couldn't find a way.
Would I be able to put IE7 on the '98 partition without it affecting the xp partition. I need to be able to see if my web pages work in IE7 or if I got to change them to work with IE7

All other browsers work independently on pc, without a problem.
