New System Build Question concerning OS

Been out of the loop with the desktop scene for about a year. Got a new job and had to relocate. Gave my 3 rigs and my server to my son. I just ordered parts for an AMD Athlon 64 and my questions is this, should I go with the Windows XP 64 bit or stick with standard WinXP. I am gonna wait a while on Vista. I will be playing games with it almost exclusively. Its got a gig of ram and a Geforce 7600GT in it. I have a copy of both so cost is not an issue.

    Stick with standard XP. It's faster and easier to support/find drivers for.
