Question on Dual core, dual instance folding.

Ok for the last week or so I've been trucking along with F@H and churning out WU's almost daily. Recently I have decided to add a second instance so as to utilize my second core (FX-62). Ever since I have done so I have turned in two WU's, one for my first instance and one for my second. Neither has been added to my score or to my WU's completed statistic. I'm not sure why exactly this is. If anyone could let me know exactly what is going on (if this is normal for the first few WU's) would be very helpful.

Thanks in advance.

Under your folding folder there should be a text file named "FAHlog.txt" copy and paste this out of that log.

I just want to see the first part...

Also when you setup the 2nd instance did you set it to run as Machine ID 2? you need to make sure both cores are under different machine ID's

the stats seem screwed up right now, we're showing zero users on 10/22/06...might be it...

Is this the only computer you have Folding right now? Stanford does show two processors in action for you within the last seven days. :)

What stats are you using to track your progress? There is a trickle-down effect with WU & Point totals. First they'll show up at Stanford's stats page, then gradually make their way through the various other stats monitors available, such as EOC and your Short Media Folding signature.

no actually a buddy of mine down the hall is folding under my name.

I've only been checking Stanford's for my stats (don't have any other way to track other than my sig).

I've recently grabbed a new user id from Stanford in case "ghosting" would be a problem which it shouldn't.

Stanford just now added one WU to my score. (my first instance did finish one this morning). But my other WU hasn't shown up. Do you think the first WU from the second instance got dropped for some reason?

Here's log for finished WU on instance 2

It's possible that a WU got dropped, though it's rare. There have been times in the past when a stats server at Stanford had a glitch and WU's weren't tallied right away. There was one instance where they found a whole passel long after the fact and nearly everyone saw their score surge for a day.

I'd keep an eye on it and see if it kicks up to something like this:

    [22:37:42] + Number of Units Completed: 2

You might always want to check the status of the server where the work was turned in and see if it is down for maintenance. That info may be found here.

We will see if that is the reason why it didn't show up. My next WU for my second instance is at 44% right now show it should be done sometime today or tomorrow. Will update then.

The server I uploaded to says that it is accepting right now, though I can't decide if it might have been down when I uploaded that first work unit or not.

Just finished the WU and so far no update on Stanford. I'll give it a few more hours.

There was a server problem, a couple of days ago Ed from the pande labs had a little brain freeze forgot to back up some servers:doh: and they had insufficient space for a disc write the are parsing all the data and points should be recredited soon.:tongue2:

I check here to see my folding progress - http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/user_list.php?s=&t=93&p=5
It can take a few hours to catch up but shows you how you're doing.
