'Kill Bill' Trojan stumbles at the starting blocks
A new Trojan horse virus, which poses as a DivX file, containing subtitles from the new Quentin Tarantino movie Kill Bill, has started to appear.
The Manda-A Trojan arrives as a .RAR file with a malformed header, and carries a size of 35347 bytes. The file masquerades as a subtitle attaché, which normally would be used to enable foreign language speakers to follow the plot of a film using the DivX format.
This method of infection however has proved quite ineffective and is more of a curious annoyance than a serious threat, however the Trojan in question is a particular nasty one, so you should all be on the look out nevertheless.
