Wireless network setup question, need a part.

I'm moving to a nearby apartment. It's half a duplex house. I spoke to the person renting the other side, and he has high speed cable internet and wireless already.

We made a deal to split the cost of the internet. It'll save us both some money. But I have to get the wireless equipment for my side. The landlord doesn't want us to drill holes or run cables all over the place.

Here's where I need to find out what I need.

Putting a wireless PCMCIA card adapter in a PCI slot in my computer is no big deal, but I need more than that. I need to send an ethernet cable to my Xbox, and have another ethernet cable ready to plug into computer that I work on for people.

I already have a 4 port router (wired), I just need to get a wireless receiver that will go into the ethernet router, then out to the computers and Xbox.

What wireless receiver part am I looking for here?

Will this do the job? http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1205038&sku=D700-5282

Or this? http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=628108&sku=L48-2230

Note - this router will RECEIVE a wireless signal, not transmit, like if my cable internet was plugged directly into it.

You need a wireless access point; it plugs into a wired port on your router and gives a wireless signal based off the DHCP/connectivity settings of your router.

PS, PCMCIA cards don't go in PCI slots.

I think I've seen adapters in the past that allow a PCMCIA card to be plugged into a PCI slot and run a desktop computer.

Got any links to GOOD wireless access points for sale? I'll look on tigerdirect for them.

It'll have to receive an internet connection signal from wireless only, then pass it to the router.
