Mouse not working help!

Both my G7 laser mouse and my old corded mouse will not work on my pc. Both work on my laptop, am I missing something obvious?

PC has just been returned to me from retailer due hardware problems.

Help please.

    Do you have a mouse problem or do you have a USB problem? I know the G7 laser mouse is USB, is the other one also USB or does it have a PS/2 plug (the little round one)? If they are both USB, do other USB devices work? If not, you might want to delete the USB ports and let Windows rebuild them.

    If that doesn't work, it might mean your USB ports got fried somehow. You can get a 4 port USB 2.0 PCI card for about $15. Or you could make the retailer who just "fixed" your computer put that in.
