Hey,

I have recently aquired a laptop, a HP 8135NR Laptop and need to ask a few questions.

Is there anything I can upgrade besides the memory and processor? Mainly the only thing I would want to upgrade is the video card. It is an ATI Xpress 200M IGP 128mb.

Is there any card to replace it and is it possible?

Corey

I don't know that specific model or it's motherboard, but generally speaking it's pretty difficult to upgrade the video card on a notebook. The video is built into the mobo and in some cases you can disable it and add video cards elsewhere.

But if you're going to go to that brain damage, you're going to go "up" by quite a bit which means you're going to add more heat to a box that is already working hard to get rid of what it produces.

Besides all that, as laptops go that ain't a bad video card at all.
