Due to lack of interest & the growing cost the Server has been shut down. Thanks to everyone who tried it out..

    Can't find any where to download the client.

    My son would like to play Lineage but can't find the download. He tells me the only way to get it off Fileplanet is to subscribe and pay them.

    Edit, that's his post above mine.
    Edit, edit, I found the free download for him, we're waiting to download.

    It is a free Download at Fileplanet as that is how I got it, unless they changed it or something :(... But here is a link to a site with the file. I am uploading it to BTT as we speak to avoid these issues in the future :)

    there are some torrents on that page, but they aren't that good, not so many peers.

    He tried opening the exe file and got an error saying it was an unknown format or was damaged. Extracted it all to another folder and got the same message. The downloaded file is 1.05GB, has it downloaded it all?

    It should be 2.5GB to 2.8GB

    Ok, so I can't exactly do this now because Windows won't autodetect anything I have and I'm too lazy to go driver hunting...sad.

    The game is pretty decent so far. You level really fast, I was on last night for about 2 hours and I'm at level 17 already. Hopefully after I get off of Newbie Ilse then things will really start getting interesting.

    Yeah the server rates are boosted to 30x allowing gameplay to move much faster.

    For me Lineage2.com just refered to Fileplanet for the DL.
    So, I went to Gamespot thinking it would be faster than Fileplanet.
    I ended up having to sign up to the site then tried the Dl which was running at 40-80 kb.
    I ended up going to Fileplanet (where I am already signed in) and got the DL at 325-350 kb. Much better DL there even if you have to sign in as a member. It's free so you just take a min or two and fill out the form.
    You sometimes have to wait 10 min or so for the DL to start if your not a paying member but even then I got the entire DL in 2 hrs and 15 mins.

    Yeah for most users they were able to DL the client without giving any info. But at Fileplanet I think they make paying and non-paying people reg now... If the file wasn't so large I would hos it myself... I might just break it up inot 4 DL's and part it out...

    I'm downloading it now, 1% done. Should finish overnight. I'm only pulling 350KB/s, too bad I'm not getting all 650 that I know I can pull.

    Sledge, I posted on BTT's site too, but something is boof. When I try to log in for the first time like you say to it says that the un/pwd do not much or something to that effect. I'm executing L2.exe, and I replaced the hosts file. Do I need to restart?
