HJT help[resolved]

Unknown

So, I ran HJT and got a logfile... I think it's the Smitfraud thing, but when I select #2 (clean) in SmitfraudFix, it just went back to the menu. This is the logfile... any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had some problems with this... the following files were not to be found.

C:\WINDOWS\system32\dflpbz.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\jxxsjng.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\hggeecy.dll

I found this one, but when I tried to delete it, it said access denied

C:\WINDOWS\system32\drvsot.dll

And this program file was not there either.

C:\Program Files\ipwins\

I did not continue with the other steps, as I wasnt sure whether or not they had to be completed in order.

Sorry to be a pain, but what do I do now?

Okay, so for some reason a lot of the symptoms seem to be gone all of a sudden. I am no longer getting the icons in the system tray but my computer is still running a bit slowly. Hopefully it was fixed somehow, but I'm not sure so I'll post another HJT log.

[STEP 1] Show Hidden and System Files:

Malicous files shown in your log may be set as hidden or system files to trick users into thinking they have been deleted. Turn on the display Hidden and System files by going to "My Computer" and under the "Tools" menu select "Folder Options". Once in "Folder Options" go to the "View" tab and uncheck the "Hide Protected Operating System Files" and click the radio button that is marked "Show Hidden Files and Folders".

[STEP 2] Fix HijackThis Entries:

Fix the following entries with HijackThis by placing checkmarks in the boxes next to them and clicking "Fix Checked".

Open the program. Check the 'Input script manually' option.
Click the Magnifying Glass icon.
In the box that opens, paste this:

Files to delete:
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\hggeecy.dll


and click 'Done'

Click the Traffic Light icon to start the program, and OK the prompts to reboot your PC.

Post the Avenger output.txt, which you can find at C:\Avenger\.txt

try this for L2m..Please download Look2Me-Destroyer.exe to your desktop.

• Close all windows before continuing.
• Double-click Look2Me-Destroyer.exe to run it.
• Put a check next to Run this program as a task.
• You will receive a message saying Look2Me-Destroyer will close and re-open in approximately 10 seconds. Click OK
• When Look2Me-Destroyer re-opens, click the Scan for L2M button, your desktop icons will disappear, this is normal.
• Once it's done scanning, click the Remove L2M button.
• You will receive a Done Scanning message, click OK.
• When completed, you will receive this message: Done removing infected files! Look2Me-Destroyer will now shutdown your computer, click OK.
• Your computer will then shutdown.
• Turn your computer back on.
• Please post the contents of C:\Look2Me-Destroyer.txt and a new HiJackThis log.

If Look2Me-Destroyer does not reopen automatically, reboot and try again.

If you receive a message from your firewall about this program accessing the internet please allow it.

If you receive a runtime error '339' please download MSWINSCK.OCX from the link below and place it in your C:\Windows\System32 Directory.

couple more things twine..Download ATF Cleaner

• Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
• Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
• Click the Empty Selected button.

If you use Firefox browser, do this also:

• Click Firefox at the top and choose Select All from the list.
• Click the Empty Selected button.
• NOTE : If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.

Your Java is out of date. Older versions have vulnerabilities that malware can use to infect your system. Please follow these steps to remove older version Java components and update.

Updating Java:

• Download the latest version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 5.0 Update 9.
• Scroll down to where it says "The J2SE Runtime Environment (JRE) allows end-users to run Java applications".
• Click the "Download" button to the right.
• Check the box that says: "Accept License Agreement".
• The page will refresh.
• Click on the link to download Windows Offline Installation with or without Multi-language and save to your desktop.
• Close any programs you may have running - especially your web browser.
• Go to Start > Control Panel double-click on Add/Remove programs and remove all older versions of Java.
• Check any item with Java Runtime Environment (JRE or J2SE) in the name.
• Click the Remove or Change/Remove button.
• Repeat as many times as necessary to remove each Java versions.
• Reboot your computer once all Java components are removed.
• Then from your desktop double-click on jre-1_5_0_09-windowsi586-p.exe to install the newest version.

Twine, please do the following..(NOTE: in the event you already have smitfraud or vundo please delete them and proceed with downloading them from the links provided as they could of been updated since the last time you DL them)Please download VundoFix.exe
to your desktop.

• Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
• Click the Scan for Vundo button.
• Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
• You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
• Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
• When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.
• Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThis log.

Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove.
In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above
instructions starting from "Click the Scan for Vundo button." when
VundoFix appears at reboot.
