Mobo Advice?

edited January 2007 in Hardware
Hello all,

I am thinking of upgrading my box with a new mobo, cpu, and memory. I just can't decide on a mobo.
I have decided on this cpu: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16819115002

and

this RAM:

I was first considering this mobo:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813131073

but was told it had many RAM issues. So I have been looking at this one:

What mobo would you guys recommend? I want a Nvidia Nforce chipset, it to be SLI capable, and a good overclocker...

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks fellas...

I would wait 30 days until the nForce 680i chipset comes down in price. It's the best chipset, but it's overpriced at the moment.

We don't know yet. Some big names haven't put theirs out. It's wait-and-see at the moment.

My evga 680i is great so far. Very stable, but I haven't oc'd it yet. Next week, after my new RAM is here. The board was one of the easiest I've ever installed. Great layout. No driver issues. Very fast. This thing has like 6 fan headers on it. That was a pleasant surprise.

Ok, so I need a mobo recommendation. I want socket T and 680i chipset that is a good OC'er. Price doesn't matter too much. Any suggestions?

So nobody has any advice?;) I've read conflicting reviews about a lot of the boards and can't decide which to choose.

Sorry, but not much is known about the 680i. Not too many around here have one. Even though my evga board is running great, I can't recomend it due to the number of problems others are having. If you want to try it though, go ahead. You can always RMA it.

I've heard good things about the Asus Striker, but it is hard to find and very pricey.

Yeah, I was thinking about the Striker, but it is expensive as hell.
