For ThinkQuest (website competition by Oracle), I need to record some music on my axe (:Rocker: ). I'm borrowing my friend's TASCAM recorder which has an instrument-in jack and a usb-out port. The problem is, I'm working on a laptop, and need an exterior sound card of some sort. I was thinking of http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16829102174, but I'm not very good at the whole technology thing. Any suggestions from you computer geniuses? Thanks.

I have a CREATIVE SOUND BLASTER EXTIGY (external sound card)
I think it would work for what you want. If you can get a deal for it, But the one you show in here should work.
