Hot to get rid of Viewpoint, Dr.Watson, Winvirus popups etc. etc.etc.[ RESOLVED ]

Help! I have tried 4 different spyware removers and paid over $75 and nothing is working. Not even my Macfee or remote log on to office antivirus is working. I bet you it's something my kids download and I'm about to go out of my mind. For months my PC say it as trojans and spyware installed and I can't get rid of it. Can anyone help!!!!! My lastest anti-adware/spy ware is Xoftspyse. It says I have a program called Viewpoint and Dr. Watson but I don't see it.
These are the problems I'm having:

Hompage Switching
Multiple popups
Slower pc
Slower startup time
Slower internet speed
excessive crashing

    Hello there!

    Please Download HijackThis

    Save HijackThis.exe to your desktop.
    Create a new folder named HijackThis to your desktop. Move Hijackthis.exe into that folder.
    Run HijackThis.exe
    Click on the Do a system scan and save a log file button. It will scan and then ask you to save the log.
    Click Save to save the log file and then the log will open in notepad.
    Click on "Edit > Select All" then click on "Edit > Copy" to copy the entire contents of the log.
    Come back here to this thread and Paste the log in your next reply.
    DO NOT have Hijack This fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.

    Hi! Sorry for the wait :/


    Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop.
    • Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
    • Click the Scan for Vundo button.
    • Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
    • You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
    • Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
    • When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.
    • Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a fresh HiJackThis log.

    Hi, and sorry for the Delay.


    Boot in safe mode

    If the computer is running, shut down Windows, and then turn off the power
    Wait 30 seconds, and then turn the computer on.
    Start tapping the F8 key. The Windows Advanced Options Menu appears. If you begin tapping the F8 key too soon, some computers display a "keyboard error" message. To resolve this, restart the computer and try again.
    Ensure that the Safe mode option is selected.
    Press Enter. The computer then begins to start in Safe mode.
    When you are finished with all troubleshooting, close all programs and restart the computer as you normally would.[




    Open HijackThis, scan and when complete, remove the following entries by checking the box to the left and clicking 'fixed checked':

    Show system files

    Click Start.
    Open My Computer.
    Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
    Select the View Tab.
    Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and folders.
    Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
    Click Yes to confirm.
    Click OK.




    Search and Delete this file if found.

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\tmp6A7.tmp.dll


    Boot in Normal mode.






    Click on the below link to begin the Kaspersky Online scanner program.




    Kaspersky On-line Scanner

    When you are prompted to install an ActiveX component from Kaspersky, Click Yes.

    The program will launch and then begin downloading the latest definition files
    When the files finish downloading click on NEXT
    Now click on Scan Settings
    In Scan Settings make sure that the following are selected:
    Scan using the following Anti-Virus database:
    Extended (if available otherwise Standard)

    Scan Options:

    Scan Archives
    Scan Mail Bases

    Click OK

    Now under select a target to scan:
    Select My Computer
    This program will start and scan your system.
    Online scan can take a long time to complete and the time is impacted by the speed of your internet connection. Be patient and let it run. It is best not to do anything else while the scan is running. This will help it to complete faster.
    When the scan has completed, it will display whether your system has been infected or not
    Click on the Save as Text button:
    Save the file to your desktop or another folder where you can locate it later.
    Attach this file to your next message.

    Do you have any idea what file this is ? C:\Documents and Settings\Alithia Barrett\Desktop\Notes654NIM.exe


    And empty this folder: C:\VundoFix Backups

    Hi I found and deleted the two files and also emptied the VundoFix Backups folder. The Notes654NIM.exe was an old application that I don't need anymore and I have deleted that also. I have not had any popups for Winvirus since following your directions(horray!!!!!!!!!) But I still have Viewpoint. Is that a program I can delete? I don't see it in my add/delete folder. Since I clean up the files my son (I'm going kill him!!!) went to a myspace web link and it said I have a PUP????????Should I run another hijack list.

    Open HijackThis, click Config, click Misc Tools

    Click Open Uninstall Manager
    Click "Save List" (generates uninstall_list.txt)

    Viewpoint Media Player

    Are you using any Symantec software? If not, unninstall these:

    LiveUpdate 2.6 Symantec Corporation)
    SymantecClient Security Posture Plug-in


    You have an outdated version of Java. You should update it to the latest version (6.0 )

    Start Control Panel
    Add/Remove Programs
    Delete the old Java versions
    Then we'll get the latest version of Java -> LINK

    Scroll down to Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6.0
    Download & install it ;)

    Now that you seem to be clean, please follow these simple steps in order to keep your computer clean and secure

    Clear your system restore
    This will clear the system restore folders from possible malware that was left behind during the cleaning process.

    Use ATF Cleaner
    Download and install ATF Cleaner. Clean your temporary files & folders with it regularly.

    Use AVG Anti-Spyware
    Update it and scan your computer regularly with it.

    Use CCleaner
    It removes unused files from your system - allowing Windows to run faster and freeing up valuable hard disk space.

    Install SpywareBlaster
    SpywareBlaster will prevent spyware from being installed.

    Install MVPS Hosts file
    This prevents your computer from connecting to harmful sites.

    Use Firefox browser
    Firefox is faster, safer and better browser than Internet Explorer.

    Keep your systen up-to-date
    Visit Windows Update regularly.

    Keep your antivirus and firewall up-to-date
    Scan your computer regularly with your antivirus.
