Monitor strain and dead pixels

Hey guys,

I was just curious. Can using a lot of white in your monitor projection create dead pixels? I don't know very much about how TFTs work, but I figured if you display a lot of white in your desktop wallpaper or whatever, it uses all three colours: red, green and blue, and that might be able to strain the pixels over time. Is this the case? Because I don't like the idea of dead pixels :P. Thanks.
