ati 9550 256mb problem..

i just bought the ati 9550 256mb agp vid card. and it boots fine and works in windows fine, but when i go into a game it will run fine for a couple of minutes then it will freeze then it then monitor goes black and a msg comes up saying " input signal is out of range" i currently have the card set at 60hz and a resolution of 1280x1024. i havea compaq SR1230NX with the FP 7317 LCD monitor.

any ideas..?

    ps i had an ATI error report come up that said..."VPU Recover has reset your graphics accelerator as it was no longer responding to graphics driver commands"

    i even switched to a CRT monitor and it did the same thing, it went to sleep and became nonresponsive

    I have the same problem, I'm using ati 9800 pro but my mobo is asus p4s8x. I read somewhere that my broad doesn't like ati but I'm not sure.
