Which DVD decoder?

Which decoder do you recommend? I've just recently started watching dvd's and I've been using an old copy of PowereDVD that I had gotten with a bundle. I was wondering if there is something freebee out there that you prefer.

Media Player Classic K! Does it take over as the default media player or do I have the option to use the dvd decoder only?
