Discovery of a technical error in one of company's most popular digital camera lines is latest in series of embarassing errors.

Of the more than 1 million models sold, Sony expects 4,000 may need repairs, the company said. Sony found similar defects in other digital and video cameras in October last year, when it discovered condensation could seep into the gadgets and damage the charge-coupled device, a chip used to capture images.
