Hi hatefilter, welcome to Short-Media Forums!

I would like to see another log from HijackThis.
    • Run Hijackthis.
    • Click on Open the Misc Tools section.
    • Next click on Open uninstall manager.
    • Press the Save list button.
    • Save the file to your desktop, with the default name of uninstall_list
    • Copy & Paste the entire contents of that file in your in your next post.
    _____________________

You may want to print out these instructions for reference, since you will have to restart your computer during the fix.

Please download FixWareout from one of these sites and save it to your desktop:
    http://downloads.subratam.org/Fixwareout.exe
    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/files/lonny/Fixwareout.exe
    • Double click Fixwareout.exe to run it.
    • Click Next, then Install.
    • Make sure Run fixit is checked and click Finish.
    • The fix will begin; follow the prompts.
    • You will be asked to reboot your computer; please do so.
    • Your system may take longer than usual to load; this is normal.
    • At the end of the fix, you may need to restart your computer again.
    • A report.txt file will be created in the C:\fixwareout folder. Please keep it safe as I'll need to see it soon.
Now lets check some settings on your system.

    (2000/XP) Only
    • Click Start > Connect to > Show all connections.
    • Right click on your default connection, usually local area connection for cable and dsl.
    • Left click on Properties.
    • Click the Networking tab.
    • Double-click on the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) item and select the radio dial that says Obtain DNS servers automatically.
    • Press OK twice to get out of the properties screen and reboot if it asks. (That option might not be avaiable on some systems).
    Next!
    • Click Start > Run type cmd and hit OK.
    • Type ipconfig /flushdns then hit enter, (Note: there is a space between ipconfig and /flushdns).
    • Type exit hit enter.

    Hi hatefilter,

You have two anti-virus programs (AVG and Kaspersky). This is not a good idea, as multiple anti-virus programs can conflict causing more problems. You need to uninstall one of them through Add/Remove programs.

    Please do the following...

Click Start > Run > type in appwiz.cpl and hit enter. From the list uninstall the following, if present:

AVG Free Edition or Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal Pro
ewido security suite <-- new version out, which we will download soon.
    NoAdware 2.0
    NoAdware v4.0
    SafeCast Shared Components
    Spybot - Search & Destroy 1.2
<-- The version is really outdated. We will download the latest version (1.4) later.

I don't think you use Norton anymore, so these can go:

    LiveReg (Symantec Corporation)
    LiveUpdate 2.5 (Symantec Corporation)
    Norton WMI Update

    Reboot your computer!

Please download Killbox and save it to your desktop.

Copy everything in the Quote box below by pressing Ctrl+C
    C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DMVSG.EXE
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\dmnos.exe
    Next, open Killbox
Go to File tab and select Paste from Clipboard
Select the Delete on Reboot option
    Select All Files
Now click on the Red Circle with the White X
Press NO to reboot your computer later
    _________________________________

Open the Fixwareout folder, click fixit.bat
The fix will begin; follow the prompts.
You will be asked to reboot your computer; please do so.
Your system may take longer than usual to load; this is normal.
At the end of the fix, you may need to restart your computer again.
A report.txt will be created in the C:\fixwareout folder. Please keep it safe as I'll need to see it soon.

No, we have not nailed it yet. Unfortunately, there may be something hidden that keeps bringing the infection back and since this is the new version of the infection, it is not surprising.

Also, I need you to try and reply in a timely manner for me to help you defeat/remove the infection. The longer we leave it, the harder it can become. I do appreciate that you may be busy but I need you to help me too, by posting as soon as possible.

    Please do the following...

Download and Save Blacklight to your desktop (choose "I ACCEPT" then click "DOWNLOAD" on the website).

Double-click blbeta.exe then accept the agreement, click > "Scan" then > "Next".

You'll see a list of all items found. There will also be a log on your desktop with the name "fsbl.xxxxxxxxxxxxxx.log" (the xxxxxxxxxxxxxx stand for numbers).

Copy and paste this log in your next reply. Don't choose the rename option yet! I want to see the log first, because legitimate items can also be present there, such as "wbemtest.exe"
