Geforce 8800GTS/GTX
I'm sure alot of you will be aware of this, but I wasn't!
There are currently NO vista drivers available for these cards. Not even Beta drivers.
Nvidia are saying that they will be available by the official vista release day of 30th Jan, which is fair enough I suppose.
but when I bought this card the other day, I was planning to run vista rtm.
Installed it - No drivers nothing, so only basic vga support. Vista is a great os, but this had no aero or nothing. My old FX5200 just ran aero.
Yes I tried hacking the win2003 drivers, and the XP drivers. I even forced install of the released forceware drivers. non of it worked, it caused blue screens stop messages.
I've been googling for hours, loads of people in the same boat, no solutions at present.
Sigh. Vista removed, back to XP (until the drivers get released)
So if you're running vista already, want one of these cards then hold off for a little while (they'll probably be a little cheaper soon anyway)
