Which Corsair XMS2 DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) is better?

Ok, here is a question that I have. I am not totally sure which set of RAM I should get. Noticing that the TWIN2X2048-6400PRO is on the approved list for both the Asus M2N-SLI Deluxe and EPoX MF-570SLI v2 PCB but only the TWIN2X2048-6400C4 is on the QVL for Asus, should I spend the extra $39 for the 6400PRO (22 reviews, all 5 eggs) or is the 6400C4 for the EPoX ok as well (of 132 reviews, 103 are 5 eggs, 17 are 4 eggs, and 12 are spread among the rest)?

Take which ever one has lower CAS ratings. The motherboard certifications are meaningless.

OK, that would be the 6400C4, besides, I don't really need the fancy activity LEDs that the 6400PRO has.

Besides, I was thinking of getting the windowed version of the Cooler Master case I want if I got the 6400PRO because the Zalman AM2 CPU cooler has a green LED in the Fan and the EPoX motherboard has the PostPort LED and LED indicators to show the power status of the CPU, RAM (placed near the CPU and 4 pin CPU power connector), and Chipset (placed between the PCI-E 16x slot and CMOS battery).

I have the C4's and they work rather well. Though getting the M2N32-Asus Sli Deluxe was another thing entirely.

    Hey Danball1976,

I bought 2 sticks of CORSAIR XMS2 1GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) and was able to get them running at 1200MHZ with my Core 2 Duo. and they were much cheaper unpaired :)

    Well, those are $155 each ($310 for two). The 2x1GB bundle CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) is now $276, that's $34 cheaper.

The one you bought is the higher latency CAS 5, 5-5-5-12 Pro version with fancy activity LEDs, the one I chose is the CAS 4, 4-4-4-12

It should be noted that it wasn't 1200MHZ, but DDR1200. 600MHZ is DDR1200.

Oh, I knew what he meant, so there wasn't any confusion there.
