Need help with Internet Explorer 7...

hey,
i got a new computer (dv9000t) and recently upgraded the Interenet Explorer from 6 to 7...however whenever i close the explorer i get a message that says it has encountered an error and needs to close down...i am wondering why it doesn't just close without that message?? did i install it wrong??
any help or ideas of what might be up is nice
