We have a Socket 754 Athlon64 3000+ CPU here which needs a motherboard so we can put it to work Folding for Team 93.

I know lots of you early adopters have moved on from the Socket 754 platform - anyone have a board that they would care to donate to a good cause? Post here and send me a PM if you can help.

Thank You! :D

Once I have replaced my boy's current system, I will have a Abit KV8-Pro available. I will let you know. I would just need shipping covered.

I may have one here too.... someone let me know if I need to look.

No CPU to test it with and its rather old. I do know that it will not support the newer E cores AFAIK.

With most places dumping Socket 754 stuff at a steep discount, anything in that category would help us upgrade some of our antique SMx computers.

    Send it on over!

PS: When anyone ships something out, please send me a PM so I know to look for it. FedEx/UPS/whoever often leave things at the management office without remembering to leave me a notice that they are there. :)

I have pieces parts laying around here. Couple o' AT cases. What are the minimum specs you need for a dedicated folding machine? I'm more than willing to bring one online if you like. Might need some parts, though. (I have two systems folding now but not dedicated.)

If your looking to donate or to host a rig check here,SMX project

If your looking for specs to donate hardware, they're listed on the left.
If you want to set one (or a couple) more up for yourself, then it's a matter of what's worth it to you. Personally I feel a 1 gig proc with SSE is the minimum to finish WU's. I don't think I'm running anything less than a 2 gig

Thanx for the link and info Donut. Doesn't sound as though I have anything recent enough to constitute a worthy donation. :sad2:
