According to this post by Alex, it is only available via FlashMenu and the fact that I can't find the full package for download tends to confirm that. However, the bios file can be downloaded here but be carefull, you may need a special version of awdflash or maybe it won't flash altogether if using conventional methods.

Thanks EQ, you da man. I'm not at my NF7 rig for the next few days, but I'll flash it when I get back to it next week.

...and can I just say. Stop being so damn efficient with all this BIOS stuff, every once in a while I'd like to be able to contribute the use of my version of CBROM. Ya just too damn good EQ, too damn frikin' good.:D

Hot Damn! Talk about a guy that's right on top of it. Not only does he let us know a new bios is out but he mods it to the cool SATA version that Abit doesn't offer.

Super Cool EQuito! You definitly Da' Man. ;)

Thanks Larry but TBH, this is nothing compared to the KT7 days.

Not only we had weekly bios updates but I had to keep everybody happy and update HPT bios and about 20 EPA logos at the same time. :banghead:

How did you mod the BIOS? I'm a bit curious. If all you did was HEX edit the bin to say something funny upon bootup I wouldn't be so reluctant to use it, but actually replacing code inside the bin file makes me nervous.

No HEX or anything like that. A 10 year old with half a brain can do it. Search for CBROM and you'll see.

    Example for this bios: c:>\cbrom nf7d_19.bin /pci 4227.bin

That's it! you got yourself the same v1.9 bios with the newer SATA bios built-in... :D

Yeah modding a .bin BIOS file is as easy as pie. It's exactly the same principal as it is with an EPA logo mod, as it is with a RAID bios one. It's just a case of extracting the item in question (in this case the RAID controller bios file), then re-adding another one (in this case a more up to date version. Simple as that. Two dos commands is all that is needed.

    No need for extraction... ;)

Really...? ha ha ha... I'm such a loser. All this time, I've extracted the damn things first.

You're not alone, I used to do the same thing in the beginning until Binary told me otherwise...
I do it from time to time if a need a backup of the component I'm replacing though.

Final release full package v1.9 for NF7/NF7-S v2.0 is here:

    http://fae.abit.com.tw/download/bios/nf7-s_2.0/nf7d19.exe
Please use AWDFLASH 8.23D or later to update NF7 series BIOS. With incorrect AWDFLASH version, the GUID will be erased, and leads to IEEE1394 peer to peer function failed. AWDFLASH 8.23K is included in this BIOS package.
    Add Duron (FSB 266MHz) support.
    BIOS compile date: 10/09/2003.
No need to modifiy it again since it is the same bios as I posted earlier.
