Audio Drivers & Devices Missing

edited January 2007 in Science & Tech
Here is my problem that i can’t seem to fix...

I build PC's, so i’d like to think i have a 'advanced' understanding of them, but sometimes this 'advanced' understanding is pushed to its limits.

I was working on a new build this week so my main PC was disconnected for a few days; i finished the new build and plugged my main PC back in... Turned it on and nothing, no sound...

I checked device manager and all my Audio Drivers, Devices & Codecs are missing... Below is a list of things that are missing, as they appear in device manager...

Audio Codecs
Legacy Audio Drivers
Legacy Video Capture Devices
Media Control Devices
Microsoft WINMM WDM Audio Compatibility Driver
Realtek AC'97 Audio
Video Codecs

The driver status properties say the same for each one... Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing

Now, ive tried everything i can think of to fix them... ive uninstalled them, then re-installed them, didn’t work... ive used my Foxconn CD to re-install them, didn’t work!!!

My motherboard is a Foxconn RC4107MA with Integrated 5.1 channel AC97 (ADI) Audio.

I have no idea what to do, can anyone help.

Thank you, James
