250gig western digital not detected in windows

i have k277 pro mother board with amd 1.333ghz, the bios detects the hard drive as 250 but when it boots in windows it shows as 128gig


any help well be good

    Do you have SP1 installed? Windows needs 48-Bit LBA support to see drives larger than 138GB. :)

    thant might be the problem, i installed xp and has no service pack installed
