NVIDIA ForceWare 52.16 WHQL (Windows 2000/XP)

edited October 2003 in Science & Tech
A few days ago, I posted news of these drivers, but at the time, they hadn't gone official, but seeing as now they have, I thought I'd take the time to bring them to your attention again. The main thing you'll notice about these drivers, is that they are now called 'ForceWare', instead of 'Detonator'. The recently released 64-Bit drivers, reported in the above news post, also carry the new 'ForceWare' name.

Curious that their new image quality, according to HardOCP, isn't improved at all. :-/

Firmly doubtful. They're essentially the same chips on the same drivers.

On My Asus Ti4400, I noticed slight performance gains with the 52.16's over the 45.23's, most notably in Halo.

With the BFG Asylum FX 5900 Ultra, I noticed a substantial performance improvement in FS2004, RTCW, Q3A and overall 3D stability.

Make sure to read the release notes for a little insight into all the changes with the introduction of NVidia's new ForceWare drivers.

Allright. I'll give them a try later. Perhaps they will fix Halo for me.
