Need a PDF writer product with good price/quality ratio

edited January 2007 in Science & Tech
Hello,

I need a software tool for Windows that works as a PDF printer driver, I mean to stay among the real printers and to create PDF files from what I print to it ( must work with Excel, PowerPoint ).. I tried a few free ones but they all have some nags or annoying limitations, a commercial product would be acceptable as long as is not very expensive ( under $100 )... Any suggestions?

i use the free version of pdf995. It does have the nags, but you can buy a version without for $9.95.

Adobe Framemaker will offer you the best quality and uses type1 fonts in your printed sheets. You will need a good set of type1 fonts as well or a package of the opentype fonts.

I use Framemaker 7 with its Acrobat Distiller and the results using the type1 fonts are splendid.
