So I finally bought an Xbox 360 yesterday along with Gears of War. And WOW. That game is f*ing amazing! I really want to get dead rising as well. But I am very impressed with the graphics on this system, and I'm not even running it in High-def, just regular-def.

Gears of war is probably my favorite game for 360. Call of duty 3 is another really good game that I'd suggest getting. I'm really into multiplayer live games, so if it were me I'd get cod3 over dead rising. Gears of war is 10x better on xbox live. There are ranked matches, regular non ranked(which you can play with guests), and even online co-op which is so much fun.

I'm not sure if its still this way, but when I got my 360 you can create 2, 1 month free gold accounts. This allows you to play games over xbox live and have access to all the special features which are mostly BS. Silver accounts just allow you to acces the market place and download crap, and i think send and recieve messages from people.

Think twice about getting Dead Rising if you only have a standard def TV. you can't read anything that you're supposed to be doing on SD.

Everything I've heard is that you can, depending on the TV, read the text. It's a mixed bag really.

I just bought a 360 and Dead Rising for my birthday...and I'm extremely happy with 1080i beating down Zombies....oh lord if it weren't for class work I'd be beating them down right now.

I have dead-rising, but i don't ahev any problems using the usual 60 hertz business.

but tbh, i'm a little disappointed in the game. i mean..you save it..then go back to where you started...why!? at least thats what happened to me :[

Dead Rising is one the most fun yet most annoying games I have played.

That's for sure! I stopped playing for a while because it frustrated me so.

I haven't played Dead Rising since the first time i played it.

It's a great game, but as i said the save thing annyoed me a little. has anybody had the save problem or is it just me?

Personally I thought Dead Rising was VERY boring. Its like GTA confined in a zombie filled mall, but without all the cool explosions, and crime. Fun for 10 minutes, but very tedius after that.

IMHO here are the must own 360 games:

Call of Duty 3 is #1 IMO.
    Gears of War
    Saints Row
    Quake 4
    NBA 2K7 is a blast!
    Ghost Recon Advanced warfighter

I cant really think of any more at the moment...

Edit: Actually I like Kameo too.

XBox 360 n00b question for all...

I've been a PC gamer-only untill I got my XBox 360 after Xmas.

I've got CoD 3 and I have to say aiming using the right joy stick sucks after using a keyboard/mouse combo.... I'm getting my a** handed to me by the AI baddies, not even gonna try going online untill I get this figured out...

...will this get easier with practice? How sensitive should I make the setting for the right joystick?

    Any help would be appreciated...

It will get easier. As for the sensitivity, that's up to you. Find what you like and stick with it. Because, changing it around only further causes problems. You get used to one way.

It takes some getting used to. Heres what I find works well. When using the look stick to aim (and make sure to hit the left trigger to look down the site) dont focus too much on getting your crosshair right on the bad guy, Instead get it close, and use the move stick to hone in on him. The move stick is usually much less sensitive.
